11. Electro-magnetic interrupters.-The free end of the trembler
blade c of an induction coil vibrates between stops or buffers
e of india-rubber or other resilient material so spaced as to
limit its movement to an extent sufficient to enable the trembler
to produce a high note suitable for wireless-telegraphy signalling
in connexion with aeroplanes. The stops are adjustably mounted
on a post e<1> and secured in place by screwed washers
e', an additional washer being placed between the stops. The
end of the trembler may also carry an adjustable weight f. |
